DESCRIPTION
These designs by the duo Jutta & Herbert Ohl for Lübke are characterized by a clear, geometric language of form. The circular backrest with its precise, curved vertical struts lends the object a sculptural presence in any space, with the construction creating a particularly attractive play of light and shadow. Crafted from beech wood in a very warm tone and combined with a round seat made of very dark leather (deep dark blue or black), a striking contrast is created. All objects bear the original manufacturer’s mark.
CONDITION
Very good vintage condition with light, age-appropriate signs of wear in the form of minor scuffs, but no serious defects. There are two small, inconspicuous spots of color on one of the leather cushions, which have been documented in image 9. A removal was deliberately avoided in order not to affect the original substance of the leather.
