DESCRIPTION
For sale is a very rare modular ‚Palaset‘ storage system designed by Ristomatti Ratia and manufactured by Treston in Finland in the 1970s. Crafted from robust plastic in a light gray / beige color scheme, this set of six elements is characterized by exceptional versatility. The modules can be freely combined, stacked, and slid into one another, offering countless design possibilities. Some elements still bear the original manufacturer sticker. Three of the original transparent pins are included for fixing the modules together, though they are not strictly necessary for a stable stand and merely serve as a practical anti-slip protection. An extremely adaptable and timeless design object.
CONDITION
The storage system comes from an architect’s household, has been in use for decades, and remains in its authentic original condition. The modules have not been cleaned in order to fully preserve their charming patina developed over the years. Due to everyday use as well as stacking and sliding, the material shows various scratches and wear. The modules are stable, fully functional, and ready for immediate use.
