A modern icon: the Red and Blue Chair, designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1918. This piece is an early edition by Cassina from the 1970s, featuring the rare, low serial number 636 and the manufacturer’s label. As one of the first models produced after the era of handmade pieces from Gerard van de Groenekan’s workshop, this chair markst he beginning of official licensed production by Cassina. The chair impresses with an honest patina developed over decades.
