For sale is an exceptional floor lamp ‚Area‘ by designer Mario Bellini, manufactured by Artemide in Italy. The design dates back to 1974 and is represented in the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, among others. This large model is particularly characterized by its sculptural, wave-like curved shade, which creates a fascinating play of light and shadow when illuminated. Thanks to the integrated joint head, the shade can be adjusted flexibly, directing the light both forward and upward. A slim metal stem and a stable square base complete the iconic design.

According to the previous owner, the floor lamp dates from the 1970s and is in a good and fully functional original condition with various age-related traces of use. The wave-like lampshade features a characteristic texture. The details shown in the photographs are an integral part of the item’s condition.
