DESCRIPTION
Offered here is an ensemble of four iconic swivel Tulip Chairs „Model 151“, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1957. These specimens by Knoll International are vintage originals from the 1970s and represent outstanding examples of organic design. The chairs stand out due to their fluid silhouette and sculptural trumpet base. The combination of the white seat shell and the contrasting orange upholstery gives this set a vital aesthetic. To certify authenticity, the original manufacturer’s engraving is located under each chair.
CONDITION
The chairs are in a well-maintained, authentic condition with a charming patina. Consistent with their age, the surfaces are no longer brilliant white but have acquired a beautiful, muted white tone (creamy nuance) over the decades. Despite typical signs of use, the overall state of preservation is very good. The cushions were professionally renewed a few years ago and offer excellent seating comfort. The swivel mechanism works perfectly on all four chairs.
