DESCRIPTION
This elegant high-back chair by Umberto Asnago and Ambrogio Pozzi for Giorgetti belongs to the influential ‚Gallery‘ collection of the 1970s. Unlike the strict geometry of other models, this design offers a playful note, with a backrest that opens upwards in a fan-like silhouette. The dark solid wood frame provides a bold contrast to the original jacquard upholstery, with its vibrant floral pattern echoing the chair’s organic lines.
A second piece from the ‚Galaxy‘ series with a square lattice backrest is available. Both chairs share a very similar wooden frame and the identical fabric, making them a perfect ensemble.
CONDITION
The chair comes from a single previous owner and is well-maintained. The wooden frame is stable with few signs of wear. There is a small, superficial surface mark on the upper left part of the backrest (last photo). The high-quality jacquard fabric is remarkably well-preserved with vibrant colors and no significant staining or abrasion.
