DESCRIPTION
We are pleased to present an extraordinary, monumental artwork from a historic Italian design collaboration. This textile masterpiece is crafted from the iconic, vibrant knit panels of the haute couture fashion house Missoni in a geometric patchwork style. It is professionally mounted onto a solid sub-structure by Saporiti Italia, transforming it into a sculptural wall art piece. The reverse side is hand-signed by Giorgio Saporiti himself and dated 1987. The original manufacturer labels from both Missoni and Saporiti Italia („Arazzi“) are fully intact. A highly rare collector’s piece at the intersection of art, furniture design, and fashion, seamlessly uniting these different worlds upon the wall.
CONDITION
