DESCRIPTION
This iconic design seating group, consisting of two comfortable 2-seater sofas and a matching ottoman, is a masterpiece of Italian design. The ‚Maralunga‘ model, designed by Vico Magistretti for Cassina in 1973, is widely considered one of the most comfortable and elegant designs of the modern era. Famous for its innovative, adjustable backrests, it offers flexible comfort at the highest level. This early edition (according to the previous owner dating back to the late 1970s) features premium leather with a fascinating interplay of colors: depending on the lighting conditions, the sophisticated natural tone shifts warmly between a lighter amber in direct light and a classic cognac under diffused illumination. A timeless ensemble with a striking sculptural presence.

CONDITION
The seating group is in very nice, well-maintained vintage condition. The high-quality leather is intact—there are no rips, holes, or major defects. Over the decades, the leather has developed a beautiful, lively patina characterized by soft creasing and material-typical color variations. The adjustable backrest mechanisms function flawlessly. The cushioning remains firm and offers the characteristically excellent seating comfort.
