For sale is a modular DS 14 sofa by de Sede. The ensemble comprises four elements (two rounded corner modules and two middle sections) that can be flexibly configured to suit different layouts. A defining feature of this design is the linear structuring of the upholstery layers: instead of simple tufting, a deeply pulled-in leather strap creates an artistic braided seam. This fine detail gives the sofa its graphic form and the characteristic, voluminous folds of the series. The heavy, premium leather features a rich chocolate brown that shifts elegantly between lighter and darker shades depending on the lighting. The piece comes from a well-maintained architect’s estate.

The sofa is in very good, well-maintained original condition with only minimal signs of use. The premium leather remains thoroughly soft and is free of cracks or brittle areas, and has developed a beautiful, lived-in patina over the decades.
