Nesting Tables by Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina | Italy 1970s

An iconic ensemble of three square nesting tables, designed by the Italian master architect Gianfranco Frattini for Cassina. This set stands out for its graphic clarity and sophisticated mix of materials: the minimalist, black lacquered wooden frames each hold a pane of green tinted glass. Thanks to their varying heights, the tables can be stacked to save space, arranged as a tiered group, or used individually throughout a room. A prime example of sophisticated Italian design.

Overall, the set is in very good original condition with only minimal signs of wear. The surfaces show only occasional, very small surface scratches or minor indentations. All glass edges are flawless. The most noteworthy sign of use is a single, discreetly color-retouched notch on one of the table legs (see last photo). Considering its age, this is a very well-preserved early edition with an authentic character.
