Rare Pair of Parchment Lamps by Aldo Tura | Italy 1970s

An exclusive pair of large lamps by Milanese designer Aldo Tura, renowned for his masterful use of lacquered goatskin (parchment). These pieces impress with their imposing presence of 80 cm in height, clean cylindrical design, and the luxurious combination of honey-colored leather and polished brass accents. The large dome-shaped shade provides a beautifully warm, diffused light. Both lamps are labeled and form a rare duo that perfectly blends Italian craftsmanship with timeless elegance.

Considering their age, the lamps are in excellent original condition. The lacquered goatskin retains its characteristic deep gloss and shows only minimal traces of use consistent with age. The brass components also feature a fine, authentic patina. The shades are structurally sound. The only notable flaw is a single small spot on one of the shades (see last photo). However, this can be rotated out of the direct line of sight by positioning the shade accordingly.
